Water Well

Posted On 19th Jul, 2015 | Posted By Teckna Group

Another recently completed water well providing the maximum non licensed water amount of 20,000 litres per day for an aggregate company for on site dust suppression.

This was completed through boulder clay drift into the limestone aquifer below and finished with a PVC WRAS approved liner, borehole pump, above ground borehole chamber, holding tanks and electrics.

Teckna Group also install water wells (boreholes) that require Environment Agency licensing as the end user requires over 20,000 litres per day .  These larger projects are taken from the initial enquiry, through the EA licensing process to the drilling and pumping trials and then onto the final license award which can take a number of months to complete.

Our latest ongoing water borehole which is currently in the licensing process will be to abstract 10,000 to 15,000 litres per hour amounting to a total of 150,000 litres per day.   Once complete this will be drilled and cased through the boulder clays and then continue to a maximum anticipated depth of 130m into the Sherwood Sandstones before the final head works, pump and control system is installed.
