Teckna Drilling was commissioned by one of our private Clients to provide a drilling report after a drilling company walked off the job while trying to drill 2no 120m geothermal boreholes and only managing to drill 20m, claiming that there was Artesian Water Pressure and that it was “undrillable”.

Teckna Drillings geological report showed high water levels possibly at 5m below ground level, but also that there was weak overburden down to 20m. Our approach was to succesfully drill and temporary case down to the solid bedrock at 24m and then continue to drill open hole to 120m deep for the 2no boreholes required with very little additonal costs to the Client from the previous drillers quote.

Due to our professional approach we were then retained to complete the connection pipe work, manifold unit with flow and pressure tests ready for the heat pump engineer to connect to.
