Teckna Group take delivery of their newest rig – the Comacchio MC900GT. This is a fully automated drilling rig enabling simultaneous casing and drilling to 120m through problematic loose ground strata allowing the geothermal loops to be installed without any issues, first time, before being grouted and the casing being removed.
The rig is to be utilised first on a domestic contract where running sand and drift is expected and will need to be cased off, then going onward to some off our larger commercial contracts.
This now takes Teckna Groups drilling rigs to 3no specialised dual rotary drilling rigs capable of installing casing and rods together along with a smaller Comacchio MC450P machine providing a versatile machine capable of drilling in more restricted spaces or assisting our larger dual rotary machines.
